Checking in
It has been a while since I have checked in and just given an update on my life. How is everyone doing? Obviously you can't respond to me (unless you reach out on Instagram! Don't forget to follow) on this platform but I hope those who read this are doing great. I have been doing great as well. Life keeps throwing the usual curveballs, but I've been doing a great job at catching them.

Let's Talk About Debt
I won't bore you with a backstory of how I had gotten myself into debt. Let me just cut to the chase. It was two months before my wife and I were getting married. We lived on three incomes. She worked two jobs and I worked one. That always worked for us because I was in school so she carried more financial weight. I was about $25,000 in debt and she was about $28,000 in debt at the time. Her debt was only her car but I had a car loan, a Kay Jeweler's account, and one open credit card that I was paying off. That changed in a single day.

Devin
When I was fifteen, I lost my younger sister. She lost her battle to cancer... leukemia, to be exact. Many people know that as a fact but I keep so many details of that year bottled up. Mainly for my sanity, to be honest. I was young and it was hard to cope with... Most days I still struggle with my emotions. I want to tell this story in hopes that it touches someone and helps them. Cancer affects almost everyone in one way or another and the loss from it can leave permanent scars. Please read this with an open mind and heart.

My First Lesbian Relationship Pt. 5
So I left off in part four with my fiancé landing her Starbucks job. This was literally the greatest thing at that time for her. She wasn't herself with everything that had happened in the past few months. My fiancé finally found the light at the end of the tunnel... BUT it was a struggle.

Life With Dogs
I am taking a brief step away from the "My First Lesbian Relationship" story to tell you guys about our life with the dogs. I've said it many times AND defended it many more times, but Dodger is truly our first child! We have raised him together SINCE birth and it has been the best experience for us. Since moving, we have taken in my grandma's dog, Lola, and that has been interesting and fun at the same time. They are best friends and worst enemies all in one, but it is all love.

My First Lesbian Relationship Pt. 4
At this point in our relationship, we weren't even together for six months yet and life events were taking its toll on both me and my fiancé. She was dealing with all of the stress from her family drama and I was stressing because I was hearing all of what was going on and there was absolutely nothing that I could do to help. From Thanksgiving, up until now everything was going wrong for us. Not with our relationship but with all of the outside factors. Things just could not go right for us... and it hasn't changed since.

My First Lesbian Relationship Pt. 3
*Brace yourself for an emotional story* So I believe that I left off on pt. two with my fiancee's ex texting her to wish her a Happy New Year. Like I said before, I was obviously upset over this. For one, that woman literally cost her nearly $1,000 in damages and two, they both moved on. Why was my fiancee on her mind? And aside from that, did she really think my fiancee would want to hear from her?

My First Lesbian Relationship Pt. 2
Let me start by apologizing for taking so long with writing Part 2! I have been so busy with the wedding planning. Okay, so where did I leave off? I believe that it was with me bringing home my baby boy, Dodger. So Dodger came home with me right before Thanksgiving of 2013. My fiancee surprised me by bringing him to my cheer gym after practice. That first night home with him was...let's say, tough! He stayed up almost the entire night. He had never been away from his litter so he was having a hard time adjusting to sleeping on his own. My fiancee slept through the night like a baby while I was waking up every time he started crying to cuddle him to make him comfortable.

My First Lesbian Relationship Pt. 1
Well, for those of you who know me personally, you know that my fiancee is my first serious lesbian relationship. I have dated girls in the past, but they were short (and secret) relationships. I have always been attracted to females, but I have never been open and honest about it, not even to myself really.
