SoCal Artists You Need to Check-Out Right Now
The music industry is a tough one due to its complexity, demands, and variety of listener interests and talents. "Making it big" takes a lot longer than you might think, and doesn't always look like how we expect it. Nowadays, it simply is not enough to know how to sing or play an instrument. Musical artists need to have a working knowledge of how to use their voice, instruments, social media, sound engineering, public relations, and more. As the general listener, we rarely have the opportunity to see the grueling hours of work that go into the finished product we experience.

Click and Grow Update: Lavender!
It's that time of year again! Trader Joe's has bunches upon bunches of fresh and dried lavender. Lavender is a fantastic edible flower with several benefits. The aroma itself is associated with relieving stress and anxiety. Lavender in skincare can help with redness and inflammation as well. So having the chance to try growing it in my Click and Grow was very exciting for me and my sister.

I Was a Dog-Walker for Three Months - This is What Happened
In the last few months I have earned great joys and great hardships. One of those hardships occurred when my part-time coffee job told me I was not meeting the job requirements as expected and I was let go. I was crushed, I felt betrayed, and I was cripplingly afraid about money. I had to cancel a big trip, use a credit card to put gas in my car, and rely largely on recycling money and whatever odd jobs I could pick up to help friends with their bigger chores. Thankfully, I live with my parents so I wasn't worried about having somewhere to stay. Yet I knew I only had a small amount saved to help me pay my car insurance. So when I found a dog-walking app called Wag!, I signed up right away. I was not 100 percent sure of what to expect, but I knew that I needed to try this out.

This is not a paid sponsorship or review, just a happy young gardener sharing her experience using this product. Are you a gardener with a green thumb? Do you breathe life into your plants without a second thought and always know what to do in order to care for them? Can you grow ANYTHING from a seed? That was my paternal grandfather. My papa could grow anything, and he had the garden to show for it, including a lemon tree and a half-dozen vegetable spread growing at any given time. Being an Italian man, and the child of immigrants, his favorite thing to grow was tomatoes.
