Bunny benefits for your life you may not have thought of before!

Looking for an incredibly cute, low maintenance pet? Your search is over. If you're like me, no one ever told you about the benefits of having a bunny. But now that I've experienced what it's like to have one, I am a bunny lover for life!

Growing up, I had a wide range of pets because our family couldn't have a dog or a cat, so we got very creative. Hermit crabs, lots of fish, a gecko, (which we fed live crickets to every night) and hamsters, just to name a few. After a while, my brother and I got to the point where we were sick of having pets that generally only lasted a week, so we began to search for a long-term companion, and that is what led us to our bun. We've had Cinnabun for almost 8 years now, and he is the sweetest thing. No matter if you're a dog or cat person, bunnies are tremendously underestimated and can add so much to your life, so if you're looking for a great next pet, look no further my friend!

1. The cuteness that will be in your life every single day will be a constant source of joy for you.

Seriously though, my bunny makes me really happy. Yes, there are adorable puppies and kitties in the world, no doubt about it, but there is something about a bunny's cuteness combined with the softest fur you'll ever feel that you won't be able to get over. They have the cutest personalities and will become your best pal. Life is just simply happier with a bun!

2. Bad odor is almost non-existent.

You know how you can walk into someone's house and know a pet lives there? Well, bunnies are a bit more stealthy. It's like they're not even there! They have great cleaning habits and don't give off a bad odor. Y'all, their poop doesn't even smell. I am still trying to figure out how it is that sometimes when my face is up close to my bunny he smells nice. It just isn't right.

3. Easily trained to go in a litter box.

There is no need to take a bunny for walks every day or pick up their poop because they can be easily trained to go in a litter box. My bunny knew from day one what his little purple box was for, and ever since then, he hasn't gone anywhere else outside his cage. It is so easy cleaning up after him!

4. Low maintenance

The maintenance required to own a bunny is neither taxing nor straining on your schedule, so if you're low on time, a bunny might be perfect for you. All bunnies require is constant access to fresh hay, water, their litter box, a space to run around and a lot of love and attention. :) They don't need a whole lot to be happy! Cleaning their cage is necessary once a day, but all that is involved with that is sweeping up a bit, replenishing hay/water if needed, and changing the litter box. All in all, it will take you between 5-10 minutes.

5. Personality

If you have never seen a bunny do a binky, well it is one of those things in life that makes your heart happy. When they get very happy and excited, they jump in the air and kick their legs to the side, exclaiming silent joy for that wonderful moment. You may not know this, but bunnies are very playful, social, and love to spend time with their owners. It is like having a small, cuddly, fluffy puppy that doesn't bark. How great does that sound?

What do you think? I hope you can see that having a bunny can be a wonderful experience, but I warn you, if you're like me, once you get one you'll never want any other pet!
