Things Pets Do That Make Us Wanna Rip out Our Hair

But we love them anyways.

Animals are a small part of what makes life better, whether it's from a funny online video that make Monday better; or coming home to their adorable faces, there is always something they can do to make us feel better. This is most true for dogs in my household, which currently holds three rescue dogs. They are the highlight of my days and the joy of everything, but things aren't always perfect with them. It amazes me how much trouble these three can get into just in one day, but how they still manage to captivate and steal my heart every day. The following below are just a few of the things that I have dealt with in my house from the triplets of destruction.

1. They disguise bad behavior in ways we can't get mad at them for:

Dogs are sometimes too smart for their own good, but you can't always get away with just telling them no and moving on. For example, my dog Tig recently decided he would teach himself how to open the kennel door while I was at work. Now this might not be a completely bad thing except for what he does once he has escaped. Tig takes it upon himself to dig in the trash, tear things up and drag it around the apartment (which is what got him started going in the kennel in the first place). Now coming home to trash and a giant mess all over the place is massively infuriating, but you end up taking a minute and realizing damn, my dog was smart enough to escape from his kennel. It kind of dissolves things, you might be mad but it astonishing how little credit we some times give to our furry little friends.

2. The Begging Without Actually Begging:

Anyone with pets will understand this impossible battle, to feed or to not to feed them human food. My favorite thing with my dogs is they will lay around you not looking at you, seeming to not beg yet still there if you decide to share. However, they don't stop there, they will slowly inch closer to you as you continue to eat making for sure that you don't forget they are there. And while yes, for the most part this is super annoying, and can get gross if you have a dog that drools, but at the end of it you realize just how cute that puppy dog face is. It is like a super power that prevents you from being mad, and even sometimes incites the sharing of that pizza you have on your plate.

3. No Privacy:

With pets, especially dogs, you get no chance of privacy anywhere in your house or even your life. In the bathroom? So is the dog, same with the kitchen, the bedroom, or any other room you may have in your home. Not to mention wherever you step there is normally a furry thing right under your foot! And even when you aren't even in the house they are always there, on your phone or on your mind worrying about what they are getting into while you are gone. Now, since no privacy is inconvenient and overbearing, you can't happen but come to realization that they are always following around you out of the loving and kindness of their hearts, and who doesn't love that.

Now this list could go on and on but these are just the top three epidemics that have hit my household this week with my furry bunch, and I am sure there will be many more to come. Dogs do something new and exciting every week, but for now that is it, so goodnight, sleep uncomfortably cause the dog is taking up all the space on the bed and wait to see what comes next.
