The life of a German Shepherd
My name is Odis. I am a four-month-old German Shepherd. I weigh 50lbs.
My hobbies consist of running, playing and drinking all the water I can lap up. My mommy and daddy are proud to have me. I keep them on their toes every day. I love when they come home from work because then I have someone to play with. I love to jump all over my mommy when she comes home. Her shoes are very yummy. Sometimes when she takes her shoes off after she gets home I like to take them and hide them from her.
When I met my mommy and daddy I was only about a month old. They give me lots of toys to play with. My favorite toys right now are water bottles. I like to run around the apartment crackling the bottle with my mouth. I also love to play with my tennis ball. I like to run around and smack the ball over the floor.
I’m a water bug. Every time my mommy and daddy take a shower I have to stick my head in and try to get some water. I love taking baths because I can drink all the water I want when I’m in the bathtub. My mommy and daddy always shut the bathroom door because I jump in the bathtub hoping there is water in it for me to drink. But I hate actually taking a bath. My mommy puts peanut butter on the wall to keep my attention. Peanut butter is my favorite.
When it’s dinnertime I always lap up all my water before I eat my food in hopes that they will give me more. Sometimes I won’t eat my food if I don’t have water first. When my mommy and daddy first got me I would cry and cry until they gave me water.
My best friend is a GoldenDoodle named Sam. He’s pretty cool. He likes to play too much though. Every time we see each other he chases me around the yard and hardly lets me rest. We are both the same age. He likes to slobber all over my head. When we first met I was scared of him because he’s very upfront and clingy. But we are the best of friends now and it’s always a good time when we get to see each other.
I love when I get to go on car rides. The wind blowing through my fur feels so great. I get to sit in the front seat with my daddy when mommy doesn’t go with. He buckles me in and rolls the window down for me. I love going places with my daddy.
If I haven’t mentioned it already, my mommy and daddy love me a lot. Daddy always takes me shopping at the pet store after he gets off of work. I love shopping with him. I get lots of loves when we go. Everyone stops and talks to me.
One day I hope to have a brother or sister to run around and play with. But for now, I will just play with my mommy and daddy. They play with me all the time. I really like when they play tug of war with me. I have a huge rope that I love to tug around and throw around the apartment. It keeps me occupied for hours.
I used to sleep with my mommy and daddy in their bed but I like to sleep on the bathroom floor because it keeps me cool. I have a huge bed that my dads bought for me but I would rather sleep on the hard floor. I like to roll around and play on my bed during the day. It’s soft and fluffy. Sometimes I take naps on it but I prefer to sleep on the hardwood floor.
Camping Success
2nd camping trip
My second camping trip was a success. I slept the whole way home. I’m a nature bug. I love the grass. And I love being able to run around and go wherever my heart pleases me.

No Love Lost No Love Found
It’s been two years. Two years ago I was in love with you. Two years ago we were inseparable. Two years ago you were my best. Two years ago I could not imagine myself without you. But things all began to change. You started to distance yourself. You started to keep things from me. You chose your video games over me. You would choose to hang out with your friends instead of me. But five years together as best friends. We became an old married couple bickering at each other over the littlest things. You couldn’t stand me anymore. And to be the utmost honest... I couldn’t stand you either. I never saw it coming. I couldn’t imagine myself without you in my life. And by the time we had finally called it quits, I wasn’t sad. I gave you three days with no contact. And you hardly noticed I wasn’t around. Now it’s been two years and we are merely strangers to one another. Someone I used to call my best friend has become the biggest stranger. I don’t talk to you anymore. And I don’t think about you much. I don’t regret what we had. Because I am now stronger than I have ever been. The past two years have changed me into a better person. I’ve moved on and you have too. You are merely a glimpse in my past.
