My Name Is Lucy!

Hello all! My name is Lucy Esmeralda McGillicuddy Ricardo McCormick. I know. My mom named me after one of her favorite TV characters. You know, one of those ones where it only aired in black and white? What do I know, I only see in black and white anyway. But anyhow, I am what you call a Shiba Inu, i.e. one of the most stubborn dogs known to wander on this earth. I am basically the Japanese version of a beagle. Mommy always has to keep me on a leash because if she lets me off the leash, I like to run and run until I've had enough. You see, I was bred to hunt so I absolutely LOVE the chase. But anywho, let me tell you more about myself!

I was born on March 14, 2016. I was born in some place called Minnesota. Wait, I think Missouri. Either way it started off with an M, and I just remember it being cold. I think I had a mom and dad, but I don't remember them much. All I know is when I was about two months old, me and one of my brothers ended up in a pet store. We were in this small box all day long where the floor was covered in shredded newspaper. I was so bored out of my mind that I started beating up my brother for fun. He didn't seem to mind since it was something to do to pass the time. Then one day the vet tech lady took me out of the box. I thought I was being so bad they were going to put me in the pen thing in the store so I can learn to behave. But then the vet handed me off to this lady and her weird looking blonde friend. When she took me from the vet tech, she gave me a couple kisses on my nose. That was new for me. Then she handed me off to her friend. He sat me down on his lap, but I didn't like it much so I made a noise and he put me down on the floor. He laid down on the floor so I decided to give his a sniff. There was hair all over his face so I thought it would be fun to bite it. I actually managed to take out a couple of hairs. The lady laughed so hard I thought she was crazy. But then after about twenty minutes the lady picked me up and started crying. I didn't understand why she started to cry, but I felt comfortable so I didn't say anything. Then she handed me back to the vet tech lady.

Fast forward to a year and some change. I am nearly two, mommy is a teaching assistant, and daddy works at a bowling alley, but he's going to be in the Navy soon. My favorite thing to do is take walks with mommy, lay down with mommy while she gives me pets and cuddles, and lay down next to mommy while I chew on my rawhides. Oh, I like playing with daddy too; he's a lot of fun to play with. I love my mommy and daddy. They give me love, feed me when I'm hungry, give me water when I'm thirsty, and give me treats when I'm good. Mommy and daddy are my best friends and I couldn't ask for better humans to take care of me.
